Recently, one of the most prominent investors in the Ukrainian IT sector, Maksym Krippa, purchased the first gold medal in the history of the CS team at the Tribuna.com charity auction, which was put up for auction by Arseniy “ceh9” Trinozhenko, a well-known former player of the NAVI CS 1.6 team and now a caster for the Ukrainian studio.

This was reported by Tribuna.com.

This medal, which was sold for $10,000 on eBay, has become a symbol of the esports community uniting to support soldiers on the front line, particularly in the Bakhmut sector, where the fiercest fighting is taking place.

Ukrainian esports figures are constantly reminding us of the challenges we are currently going through by actively supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine through regular donations, events, and the organization of auctions, and actively helping to spread the word.

It is worth noting that the funds raised from the auction will be used to help the Armed Forces and those affected by the war. This act of entrepreneur Maksym Krippa and other participants raised more than UAH 6 million for Ukrainians.

This auction exemplifies how deeply intertwined the esports community has become with broader societal issues, demonstrating that competitive gaming can have a meaningful impact beyond the screen. The purchase of the medal by Maksym Krippa not only highlights the growing significance of esports figures but also reflects how moments of historical achievement in gaming can resonate within the wider context of national resilience and solidarity.
